Jalapenos Restaurant in Clarkston

Good food, it was really busy so service was a little slow but everyone was still friendly and the food was good. I'd say they need a bigger space but it's in a strip mall so that's not really an option. There's only a very small waiting area that isn't heated.

I’m a first time customer. The service today wasn’t great. I don’t know if they were short staffed or not. It took awhile to get our drinks after ordering them (7-8 minutes). I ordered myself and my client lunch specials. I got enchiladas- on the menu it said they came with a sauce and cheese on top. When I got them, they just had cheese... When I asked, I guess sauce is put on them upon request....? I’ve never heard of that.. The chips tasted almost stale but, the salsas were good!I’m reading good reviews about this place so I’ll give them another shot and update my review when I do.

Service was great, very attentive. They bring three different bottles out to the table with salsa. I wish some places would realize that not everyone can eat cilantro. Maybe if you have 3, make one without cilantro? I still tried them and have to say the one with avocado was the best. My enchiladas were so good. The one I go to close to me refuses to use ground beef in their meals so I really missed a good enchilada! We thought the tamales were a little dry but still they were filled with meat and tasted good. Maybe it is the difference in the way we cook ours. We will being going back for sure.

Small place, but, hands down the fajita steak tacos are amazing, I will definitely be coming back for another date there soon.

Best place real Mexican food and I’m Mexican I know what I talking about

Had a review before but have to edit. The Pontiac location is light years better. This place used to be one of my favorites, but it just keeps getting more disappointing. For the last 2 years it seems that the food hasn’t been nearly as good and the service has always been poor. The service is extremely slow every time we go, and usually we go at times where the restaurant is half empty and it’s still a problem. The nacho we got this previous time was cold in the middle, lukewarm at best on the outsides. Just so disappointed. It’s only worth it for the salsas. I don’t know if the ownership is the same, but the Jalapeños in Pontiac on Baldwin is so much better every time. The service is far far better, and the food is too. Whatever they’re doing in Pontiac is missing here. I can’t say I’ll be back at this location again. I highly recommend Jalapeños, but in Pontiac, not Clarkston.

My favorite lunch spot to just chill out and eat great food. Their chicken fajitas are my go to and their chips and salsa are worth going for alone. Prior to the lockdown I was spending nearly every Tuesday lunch hour here. Staff is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Good atmosphere, great tex-mex food! No reason to not try it yourself.

Its great! Food is amazing always fresh and the wait time for food isn't long like most places. And also it gets packed at times due to it being so good!!

Cinco-de-Mayo happening on taco Tuesday during a shelter in place required a Jalapeños order! Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to bring out our order! We enjoyed our burrito and chimichanga and we will be back!!

Tasty food and great service. As they were very busy three different waiters were making sure that we were taken care of. I like that you can create your own salsa mix.

The food was amazing! I would have loved to have given this place 5 stars, however on the night we are here, the service wasn't great. It took about 10 minutes for someone to walk by and ask if we even needed a server. When we finally did get served, it was okay but not great. The saving grace was the fact that the food was the best Mexican we have had in the Clarkston/Waterford area in a long time.More than likely, this was an off night and the service is stellar. We will go back soon to find out. Side note, the prices are unbeatable! For our family of 5, we paid $45. At many other local restaurants, we have paid upwards of $80 to $100 for the exact same meal. My jaw was on the floor when I saw the check.

Service was awful. Waitress basically gave us food and never returned. After speaking to the manager they gave us $1.99 off of our bill....wow! Don’t waste your time. Will never go back.

They serve big dishes and for reasonable pricing. helpful employees. 5 stars from me.

Watch your account if you use debit or credit. I was there and they incorrectly charged me a tip of 10x the amount I left. Called and spoke with manager, said they would correct but only gave me back the amount of original tip so now I have to force the correction through my bank.

This is a great little Mexican restaurant. The salsa is phenomenal. The service is usually good. The food is good and portions are generous.

Trying to support local but won’t be back. Called carry in and was told 30 minutes. Arrived 35 minutes later to total chaos in the restaurant. Took 1:15 to get food. When got home (15 minutes away) food was literally ice cold with errors.

We adore Jalapenos!! They have the greatest Mexican food around. They provide three different types of salsa, regular tomato and cilantro, a spicier chipotle, and an avocado cream sauce. They are all fantastic. My favorite dish is the chimichanga, because who doesn't want deep fried bread? It's so good! Get it with barabacoa and melted cheese!! My husband loves the three way fajitas. If you're into drinks get the cilantro margarita!! So yummy!!! Both locations are excellent. You won't be sorry!

Took too long to even get drinks, like 10 minutes for 2 cokes. Even longer for the food. However the food was very good.

If I could give them a zero I would. They have very poor customer service and are just plain rude. If they completely mess up your order, they don’t even apologize and seem completely put out when you ask politely to receive the right order. Shameless display of callousness to the point of openly mocking the customers. We have tried them many times and given multiple chances - but their unreasonable expectations of “you get what you get and just be happy we gave you food” is a bit much when you’re paying good money. Terrible people, mediocre food at. premium prices.
